How much does it cost?
Walk-ins are $20 per person, per hour
Private lane rentals are designed for 6 throwers and rates begin at $120 per lane per 1.5 hours. For additional rate information, see our booking page.
Note that there is a mandatory 10- minutes training if you come for the first time.
Will there be any training?
Our experts will show you the basics of axe throwing and be with you for the first couple of rounds to help with the technique.
Is it possible to rent the whole place?
Absolutely! Send us an email: email@example.com and we'll see how we can take care of your whole group.
When are you open?
We can be open by appointment literally anytime. Our regular hours are as follows:
Monday: 4-9 pm
Tuesday: by appointment only
Wednesday: 4-10 pm
Thursday: 4-9 pm
Friday: 4-10 pm
Saturday: 11-10 pm
Sunday: 12-8 pm
How does booking work?
At the time of your private lane booking, you will only pay for two spots. After you finish your experience at Blade & Timber, we will settle up with all participants (that way you don't have to pre-pay for your friends!)
What should I wear?
You absolutely must wear closed-toe shoes. Other than that, we encourage folks to dress comfortably. Also, we love flannel.
Can I bring my own axe?
No. Our lawyers tell us that we cannot allow you to throw your own axe.
Can I bring food or drinks?
You are more than welcome to bring snacks and food. However, we do not provide any type of utensils. We are working hard so you can BYOB hopefully soon!
Groups who rent the facility are allowed catered food and drinks. Ask us about our partnerships with some of Kansas City's best restaurants!
Can children participate?
If one is able to throw an axe properly, absolutely! But all children and teens under 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
However if we doubt the capabilities of a minor to throw an axe, our staff members will not allow it.
Is it safe?
Axe throwing is as safe as any other sport or entertainment activity of similar genre. When everyone respects the rules and safety measures, there is no chance of injury.
