WHAT IS BLADE & TIMBER?
Blade & Timber is Kansas City's first urban axe throwing experience. We're passionate about creating extraordinary entertainment and sharing life with one another.
Our unique axe throwing experience is fun, casual and expanding quickly to new cities! Our original location is in the heart of Downtown Kansas City's West Bottoms, and in 2018, we will open at Town Center Plaza in Leawood!
Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby, learn a new skill or simply find a reason to hang out with your favorite friends, we are here to serve with professional axe throwing coaches and an unforgettable experience.
WHO SHOULD THROW AXES?

What should I wear?
You absolutely must wear closed-toe shoes. Other than that, we encourage folks to dress comfortably. Also, we love flannel.
Can I bring my own axe?
No. Our lawyers tell us that we cannot allow you to throw your own axe.
Can I bring food or drinks?
You are more than welcome to bring snacks. We do not have a liquor license yet.
We also work with some great catering partners!
Can children participate?
Children 10 and older are allowed to join in! However, all children and teens under 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
However, if we doubt the capabilities of a minor to throw an axe, our staff members will not allow it.
Is it safe?
Axe throwing is as safe as any other sport or entertainment activity of similar genre.
And since safety is our #1 priority, we go above and beyond. By requiring all of our coaches to become Axe Safety certified, you will always be in good hands while in our facility.
